Registration Details
Eligible candidates must fulfill all requirements, as the selection process is quite strict. Registration for the PMA Long Course 156 begins on march 2025 to April 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
This program is only for male candidates who have completed their intermediate education, including F.Sc. (Pre-Medical or Pre-Engineering) or ICS. After completing 12th grade, candidates can apply for the PMA Long Course and join the Pakistan Army as a second lieutenant.
- The applicant age must be between 17 years to 22 years
- They must have passed FA or equivalent degree with 55% marks
- FS.c pre-medical applicant with 55% marks
- FS.c Pre-engineering Applicant With 55% marks
- ICS students with 55% marks and others can be eligible to apply for the pma 155 long course
- The height should be 5 feet and 3 inches.
Ineligibility Conditions
Certain conditions render students ineligible for the PMA Long Course. These include:
- Being rejected twice from ISSB.
- Failing the initial test three times within 120 days.
- Being declared medically unfit for service.
- Dismissed candidates from Army Forces Colleges on disciplinary grounds cannot apply either.
Candidates who provide false information or are found medically unfit will be permanently disqualified. Preparation for the ISSB through private coaching academies may lead to disqualification if discovered.
Age and Marital Status
Candidates must be between 17 and 22 years old, unmarried, and meet specific height and weight criteria. The preliminary test will occur from October 28 to December 20. Candidates from any region in Pakistan, including Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, can apply.
Dual Nationality
If a candidate holds dual nationality, they may also apply. To determine eligibility based on age, candidates should consider their age as of May 1. Those who have completed a two-year graduation can apply, with an age limit of 17 to 24 years, including a three-month relaxation.
Educational Requirements
Candidates applying based on F.Sc. must have at least 55% marks, while those applying with a bachelor’s degree require a minimum of 50%. A verification certificate is necessary if a candidate provides a duplicate or revised mark sheet.
Application Process
The online application process is straightforward. Candidates must fill in all relevant information and submit their applications. After submission, candidates will receive a computerized roll number and must report at the designated time.
Initial Testing
The initial tests for the PMA Long Course are computer-based. Candidates need basic computer skills and must prepare for an intelligence test, consisting of multiple-choice questions from subjects such as English, mathematics, Pakistan Studies, Islamiat, and general knowledge. The level of mathematics tested is that of matriculation, not F.Sc.
Physical Test Requirements:
- 1.6 km run in 8 minutes

Initial Medical
After completing the physical test the candidate goes to the medical test here the genera they check the height, eyesight, weight and chest size.
Interview Process
Interviews will be conducted at Army Selection and Recruitment Centers. Candidates who previously applied for the Technical Cadet Course can now apply for the PMA Long Course.
